For Christmas 2007, L’Oreal Prestige & Collections - home to global fragrance brands Armani, Diesel, Ralph Lauren, Lancome and Cacharel - wanted a stunning, but environmentally friendly, display unit to promote their special boxed gift sets, or ‘coffrets’.

They challenged us to produce 1,200 premium quality branded tower units made almost entirely from paper and board so they could be easily re-cycled, but strong enough to be displayed for up to four months in store.

Our solution

From an initial concept we designed a tower unit that was built around a common corrugated board skeletal structure with perspex shelves, branded cladding and a silver or gold crown to hero each product.

Full size footprints of each unit were supplied enabling L’Oreal sales team to negotiate best positioning for each unit in store. Finally, we worked closely with L’Oreal’s logistics operation to ensure a seamless delivery over a three week period to coincide with arrival of the gift boxes in stores.

The result

Each of the six different designs was printed and hand finished to an exceptionally high standard and all 1,200 units were delivered exactly to schedule. The stunning in-store presence of the units helped L’Oreal fragrances achieve one of their best Christmas’s ever!
